6th Korean Thanksgiving Festival
October 13 - 14, 2007
Overpeck, Leonia, New Jersey
The 6th Korean Thanksgiving Festival will take place in Overpeck Park in Leonia, New Jersey. This Festival was launched in 2002 and was an immediate success with an estimated attendance of 25,000 spectators. The Festival has grown into a two day weekend affair with an estimated attendance of over 100,000 spectators as reported by the Bergen Record newspaper in 2006. The Festival was created to promote more interaction between the old generation and the growing generation and also between the Korean-American community and the community at large through sharing the culture and heritage that is uniquely Korean. For the Opening Ceremony, we have a special presentation from local and international performers and the Ceremony will be followed by an inspirational fireworks display. Korean cuisine and other culturally related products are sold and displayed by the many vendors that support the Festival. We hope that you join us for this delightful festival.
