Dr. Melissa Chiu will give a lecture on aspects of Korean contemporary art in the 21st century. Melissa Chiu currently serves as the Director and curator for contemporary Asian art and Asian American Art at the Asia Society Museum in New York. As a leading figure in contemporary Asian Art, she has curated over thirty exhibitions and is the author of Chinese Contemporary Art : 7 Things You Should Know (2008), Breakout: Chinese Art Outside China (2007), and co-author of Zhang Huan:Altered States (2007), One Way or Another: Asian American Art Now (2006); just to name a few.
