Art Restoration Discussion and Reception
The Center for Korean Research and The C.V. Starr East Asian Library present Ko Hui-dong’s renowned landscape painting “Kumgang 5 Che.” The newly restored painting was given to the Library by the Columbia Korean Students Group in 1930. The painting depicts Kumgangsan, a popular travel destination in the 18th century well until the 20th century.
Join us for a lively discussion on the painting and its restorative processes; reception will follow the discussion.
The event is open to the public. Registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ko-hui-dong-and-the-diamond-mountains-restoring-koreas-artistic-heritage-tickets-17307520259
