In October, we invite Kathy Park, NBC News Correspondent. She will share her experiences and perspectives on career development in the journalism/media industry, followed by a Q&A section. Participants will have an opportunity to engage with the lecturer and establish new networks in the reception afterwards.
K-New Leaders Program
The K-New Leaders Program is a brand new initiative for the next generation of leaders, connecting like-minded New Yorkers who support cultural exchange. The program supports young professionals and students in New York City to enhance their capacity through cultural arts programs, mentoring, lectures, and networking opportunities.
About Kathy Park
Kathy Park is a national correspondent at NBC News since 2018. She previously worked at KCRA 3 since the summer of 2014, the NBC affiliate of Sacramento, where she split her time as a weekend evening anchor and general assignment reporter. In Sacramento, Kathy reported on everything from wildfires, riots in response to the shooting of Stephon Clark to the 2018 Primary Election in California. Prior to joining KCRA 3, she was an anchor and reporter in Washington, D.C. covering major events including both of President Barack Obama’s inaugurations, the Navy Yard shooting, and the blizzard of 2010 and earned an Emmy nomination along the way. Kathy started her career in Northeast Tennessee at WCYB/Fox Tri-Cities and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in journalism.
