Let’s play and learn Korean!

New Class every third Thursday of the Month at 1:00 PM

Have you ever read or heard a Korean folk tale before?

There are so many fun and interesting stories like “Heungbu and Nolbu” which is a story of two very different brothers: the kind-hearted Heungbu and the greedy Nolbu,  and “The Red Fan and the Blue Fan,” a story of a man who comes across a pair of magic fans.

In the July program, we are going to read a Korean folk tale and make a paper fan together.

We will also learn red and blue color names and how to say the word for  ‘fan’ in Korean. Let’s say it together, “Ppalgan bu-chae, palan bu-chae (red fan, blue fan)”!

This program is for parents/caregivers and their children. The parent/caregiver is suggested to be present during the entire program.

<Korean Storytime> is an online education program by the Korean Cultural Center New York and New York Public Library, St. Agnes. The program offers diverse themed storytime programs every month in Korean and English.
