This bittersweet romantic comedy stars Jung-ah Yeom (A Tale of Two Sisters) as an unlikable elementary school teacher who falls for a handsome new fine arts teacher. Her pretensions of sweet mannerliness are thwarted, however, by a pint-sized romantic rival: one of her students, who is determined to expose her true personality to the new teacher! Lovely Rivals is seen as a sequel to Gyu-seong Jang's 2003 comedy, Teacher Mr. Kim.
