The talk of the 2006 Cannes International Film Festival and the latest film from critically acclaimed visionary director BONG Joon-ho, The Host has already garnered a substantial amount of international buzz. Utilizing state-of-the-art special effects, The Host is both a creature-feature thrill ride and a poignant human drama. Director Bong wrote and directed Barking Dogs Never Bite (2001) and Memories of Murder (2003). In 2006, his third feature film, The Host, was selected for the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.
Guest Speaker Ms. Hyun-Ock Im will briefly introduce the film and lead a discussion after the movie.
