Jinsa Maeng's daughter is contracted to marry a nobleman's son, however, Jinsa Maeng is upset when he hears about a rumor that the fiance of his daughter is lame. Finally, he decides to take on the idea of arranging his maid to take his daughter's place in the wedding.

This funny and hilarious periodical film is based on a well-known scenario written by OH Young-jin in 1942. A Happy Day of Jinsa Maeng, has been remade by two other directors, after the release of the original film in 1956 by LEE Byoung-il. The second version was made by LEE Yong-min in 1962, and the third version was filmed by KIM Eung-chun. This film by LEE Yong-min was invited to the 6th Sydney Film Festival.
