100 minutes

Korean Cultural Service New York presents a program of short films exploring the emerging forms of short story filmmaking through the lens of a diverse Korean American filmmaking community. Without strict adherence to linear narratives and constructs of "identity," the featured short films may be shown to express the unique possibilities inherent in the genre of short filmmaking ranging from documentary, experimental to animation. Looking back a few years to the most current short film works', this short film series will give us the rare opportunity to see the earlier short films of established filmmakers in tandem with the recent work of student filmmakers. Emerging Korean-American talent will be showcased in this program. The filmmakers' subjects are as varied as their approaches to filmmaking.
