The Astoria Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, May 30, 2024, with a celebration of filmmaking and animation from around the world and a showcase of films made by local students in Astoria Film Festival' s media education programming around NYC as well as a youth festival with films from around the country and around the world. Held in person at the prestigious Arri Rental LIC and at historic Kaufman Astoria Studios, with events online as well, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of screenings, filmmaker panels, industry panels, and networking events that will captivate the community.

About Astoria Film Festival
Astoria Film Festival, Inc. is devoted to to encouraging historically-ignored communities in the US to have a larger presence in the media production industry. They aim to do that by connecting their film education students and festival participants with local filmmakers and industry leaders, and by inspiring youth to find their voice and pursue careers in the media industry. They hold an annual festival and an annual youth festival, and run extensive Film Education programs in local schools and community centers, for ages 8 to adult, including filmmaking workshops, internships, fellowships, career connections, and industry mentorship programs.
