The Annual Gala Fashion Show and Scholarship Night will be held on Friday, Nov. 18th, 2011 at Middletown Loft. The special night includes a fashion show by designer Sookei and Sohyun Bhaak, and awarding of student scholarships based on D2’s design contest. The main goal of D2 is to give exposure and sponsor up & coming Korean-American designers and grant educational support to design students in college. The Annual Gala Fashion Show and Scholarship Night event are expecting a diverse group of 500 guests, including fashion designers, fashion industry professionals, cultural supporters, and media press.
D2 (Designers Second Generation)
Established in 2008, D2 is a non-profit organization made up of fashion industry professionals in NY area. D2 holds monthly meetings/seminars where speakers of companies come to share their experience and knowledge about their area of expertise. These seminars have been successful in networking professionals in NY as well as creating mentor-ships amongst experienced and young professionals.
