The Korean Cultural Service New York presents the exhibition “Thinking beyond the PATTERN” being held from December 1st through December 24th, 2010. The opening reception will held at the gallery space located within the Korean Cultural Service NY from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010. “Thinking beyond the PATTERN” is the last show from "Call for Artists" series and continues the successful run from the previous show titled "Conscious behind Unconscious". 

This exhibition presents unique and profound art work that seeks to discover how patterns can be (or has been) used as social, cultural and political commentary that reaches beyond visual impact.  The five artists, Jung Won Sung, Suhee Woo, So Yoon Lym, Mi Heun Kim and Jihya Kang, portray this theme via various interpretations and the desire to communicate through a specific visual language.
