Ko-Ryo Dance Theater Concert
Ko-Ryo Dance Theater will present a program, Ascending Timeless, which infuses modern dance with elements of Korean traditional dance to create a unique style for this dance company. The program will feature new work along side select repertory to illuminate the artistic and spiritual journey of the choreographer since first coming to the United States from Korea twelve years ago.
Choreographer Sunhwa Chung has presented modern and Korean traditional choreographic works in New York and Washington, D.C. where the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission selected her as one of the great choreographers for the 16th Annual Choreographers Showcase. In June 2006, Ko-Ryo Dance Theater took part in the La MaMa Moves Dance Blast at La Mama Etc.
