Korea Music Foundation and Korean Cultural Service NY proudly present the joint concert of two talented Korean solo musicians, Young-ah Tak and Ji In Yang.
Since making her New York debut at the Lincoln Center with the Juilliard Symphony, Ms. Young-Ah Tak (piano) has performed at The Kennedy Center, Jordan Hall (Boston), the Steans Institute at Ravinia Festival and Music@Menlo Festival. Tak has performed with numerous internationally renowned orchestras, including the Filharmonia Pomorska (Poland), the Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and the Korean Symphony Orchestra. The debut recording of Zaimont's Wizards (2003) by Tak was released by Albany Records. Tak is currently a doctoral student of Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Institute.
Ms. Ji In Yang (violin) also has numerous appearances with international orchestras; including Bucheon Philharmonic, Suwon Philharmonic, Chuncheon Philharmonic, New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, and Sarah Lawrence Symphony Orchestra. Yang was invited by Midori to perform in Japan which was televised in NHK and also performed with Cho-Liang Lin at the Tongyeong International Music Festival.
Yang recently concluded her studies at the Juilliard School and has been a member of Sejong since 2005.
The program includes the works of Haydn, Debussy, Isang Yun, Liszt, Dvorak and more.
