(1941 Broadway at 65th Street, NYC)
After their performance in Vancouver to celebrate the 2010 Winter Olympics, the renowned National Dance Company of Korea will come to the New York stage to present The Scent of Spring, a national brand performance of NTOK (National Theater of Korea).
The Scent of Spring is based on the old Korean folk tale called Chun-Hyang. It was produced to create a dance work that could represent Korea by embracing this era and its audience, befitting the ‘globalization of performing arts’.
The National Dance Company of Korea, which was established in 1962, has been a representative dance company in South Korea with the purpose of creating new dances based on Korean traditional dance and to perform the works.
This performance is invitation only.
