THE GREENWICH VILLAGE ORCHESTRA, a non-profit community orchestra with talented players, emotionally charged performances and stellar musical guests, presents the premiere concert of its 25th season and an exciting all-Dvorak program. This concert features cellist NA-YOUNG BAEK on Dvorak's Cello Concerto. BAEK, a native of South Korea, won first prizes in the Philadelphia Orchestra Competition, Hudson Valley Philharmonic Competition and Holland-America Music Society Competition while pursuing degrees at Curtis Institute of Music, Yale, Juilliard and Stony Brook University. She made her NYC debut in Carnegie Hall. Now she's a member of the NJ Symphony Orchestra, Sejong Soloists and ECCO Ensemble. Other pieces performed will be Dvorak’s Symphony Number 8 and Slavonic Dance, Op. 46, No. 8
Admission to the concert is by suggested donation only: Adults, $15, Students/seniors: $10.
