International Clarinet Choir in New York

The International Clarinet Choir conference hosted by the Traumerei Clarinet Ensemble is directed and organized by Seungho Choi, who is a resident clarinetist in the New Jersey area. The conference will include various interactions with performers from Korea, Japan, the United States and France. The international group consists of performers from the Kansai Clarinet Society Japan, Professor J. David Harris, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Professor Timothy Phillips, Troy University, Alabama and Professor Hideaki Iwai of Sin-a and Osaka University of Art who is also the director of Kansai Clarinet Society. Other performers of the concert are Korean students who study in the States and France. These highly trained and professional clarinetists will be gathering to perform at the Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church at Lincoln Center.

The program will include diverse music especially from the world premiere of Crane Dance (Hak-moo) composed by Jin Ok Cho which will feature the musical style of traditional Korean music, as well as the Clover Fantasie for Clarinet Quartet by Mari Miura, Three Balkin Dances by Patrick Hiketick, Adagio for Clarinet and Orchestra by Joseph Bärmann, Antonio Vivaldi Concerto for violin and Orchestra in A minor op.3 No6, Mendelssohn’s Konzertstück No. 2 Op. 114 and many more.
