Kang, Yusun&Hosun’s Korean Traditional Dance & Beyond(The U.S. Premiere)

Yusun Kang, dance director of Korean Traditional Music and Dance Institute of NY (KTMDI) and Hosun Kang, a dance instructor of KTMDI, will perform skillful and authentic dance pieces that they have learned from treasured master teachers from Korea. They have been actively performing on professional stages for more than 20 years internationally, including both the US and Korea. In this presentation, they will show the HwaSunMu, inspired by the famous “Pungryudo” painting from Chosun period (17c). It portrays the elegant contemplation of noble artists and embodies to beauty of our ancient Korean culture, creating a very picturesque and artistic interpretation. Audiences will appreciate the exquisite artistry and authentic beauty of Korean culture and traditional dance.
