Noree Performing Arts invites you to join us for the celebration of dance and music for the 2nd Annual Festival at Poet's Den Theater & Gallery. This performance will present the new dance works based on the Korean folk elements, as well as compositions by aspiring Asian composers in NYC.
About the company:
Founded in New York City in 2014, Noree Performing Arts (NPA) is led by a group of Korean artists with various music and dance backgrounds, such as traditional Korean Dance, Ballet, Modern and Contemporary dance with both Korean and Western elements. “Noree” is a Korean word translated variously as "play, games, amusement, entertainment and recreation." Noree is a basic part of human nature, a universal language that every culture can share and appreciate.
Noree Performing Arts (NPA) creates communication between the individual and society. NPA brings an innovative and vibrant dance style comprising a mix of cultures, methods and visions to the stage. NPA strives to explore imaginative, fantastic and realistic aspects of social awareness, culminating in exuberant performances for a global community.
NPA’s passion is to make a connection across generations, transcending cultural and ethnic boundaries through performing unique fusion style of Korean folk traditional dance, modern dance, theater and ballet.
The mission of NPA is to establish and develop a cultural, educational and artistic exchange between the communities of the United States and Korea.
