Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 came straight from the heart of its creator and was a showcase for his own amazing pianistic talents. Acclaimed pianist Kun Woo Paik (whose “sense of drama, his wit, mastery of nuance, thoughtfully weighted chords and fleet-fingered virtuosity, all are remarkable” — The Independent) makes his Philharmonic subscription debut in this robust, dramatic work.
Korean pianist Kun Woo Paik’s legendary career began with his first concert, at age ten with the Korean National Orchestra. In December, he joins the New York Philharmonic for his celebrated take on Beethoven with the dramatic Third Piano Concerto.
