A pioneer of “Hallyu: Korean Wave”, Young Soon Kim and WHITE WAVE DANCE present the 17th annual DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL at the state-of-the-art Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center.
Seventy contemporary dance companies featuring 325 performers will showcase their work during four nights and three days in a marathon of dance innovation. Joining New York’s active dance community, artists from across the world will showcase new directions in dance for the 21st century. Expect to experience the unexpectable. Just as you thought you knew contemporary dance, the DUMBO Dance Festival will stop you in your tracks!
Special highlights include a FREE Family Program on Sunday, October 8th that offers Hip/Hop, Modern dance class for the whole family followed by a family-friendly dance performance. Bring your kids to learn from some of the best choreographers and performers in the business!
