Pansori (판소리) is a Korean traditional performance that combines a solo singer, special drum accompaniment, and the audience to tell a long story through music. Audience will have the chance to delve deep into the history and characteristics of pansori and learn about its unique sounds and rhythms.
Professor Kiryun Sung, who teaches Korean Musicology at the Academy of Korean Studies, will be leading the workshop with gifted pansori singer, Master Hyesung Min, and with Hyodong Choi, who will be providing the moving drum accompaniment.
