Tour and Album Description:

Recommended by pianist Krystian Zimerman, Seong-Jin Cho recently stepped in for an injured Lang Lang to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major, M.83 in Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic’s tour of Germany, Hong Kong and Seoul this fall, earning praise as “a poet on the keyboard” from Rattle.

The 2015 International Chopin Competition winner returns stateside for a recital tour that includes dates in New York and New Jersey, featuring Beethoven and Chopin sonatas as well as repertoire from Seong-Jin’s new album on Deutsche Grammophon, Debussy.

Released in time for the French composer’s centenary in 2018, Debussy features Seong-Jin’s “exuberant performance” (The Guardian) of the composer’s most popular works and cycles, including Images I & II, Suite Bergamasque and Children’s Corner.

“His playing is riveting as ever.” – The Guardian
