Its name comes from a Latin word “mirus” meaning “extraordinary”, and the trio has proven its quality by performing at the most prestigious venues and TV stations in Korea. The trio's 2017 US tour throughout 4 States and 5 Cities brought out standing ovation from all concerts. Especially their live concert on WPLN's "Live in Studio C" in Nashville was broadcasted throughout the whole city.
Mirus Trio will play Borodin, KyungA Min and Paul Moravec’s works.
Paul Moravec’s Pulitzer-winning, “Tempest Fantasy” is the second collaboration with clarinetist Wonkak Kim after Olivier Messiaen’s “Quartet for the end of time” at Seoul Arts Center in 2016.
