Please be advised that the panel talk will be conducted simultaneously in English and Korean - without translations or surtitles - solely due to the time constraints of the planned evening. However, should the panelists require translation during the Q&A session, the moderator will translate as needed.
Please also note that talk will later be made available to watch in a fireside chat fashion and the video will include English and Korean subtitles.

Join us for an exclusive panel event featuring the illustrious Korean musical producer, Chunsoo Shin, from OD Company. With his latest venture, the highly anticipated production of “The Great Gatsby” set to debut on Broadway, Chunsoo Shin brings a wealth of experience and insight into the intricate world of Broadway production. Joining him on the panel is Teresa Eyring, a distinguished figure who has steered the Theatre Communications Group, the esteemed national organization for theater, and served as the publisher of American Theatre for 17 years.
This event promises a unique opportunity to delve deep into the inner workings of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Regional Trial runs, offering a comparative exploration of production cultures between the US and Korea. Our esteemed panelists will generously share their expertise and perspectives, providing invaluable insights for aspiring professionals and artists alike. ◆ Chunsoo Shin (Producer)
Acclaimed Korean theatre producer, Chunsoo Shin is the founder and president of OD Company, the global theatre producing company in South Korea. A game changer in the Korean musical market, and the most influential musical producer in Korea’s theater industry, Chunsoo Shin is the first musical producer to be awarded the Korean Pop Culture and Arts Prime Minister Award, South Korea’s most prestigious prize for popular culture and arts awarded by the government. Additionally, Chunsoo Shin is the first Korean producer to become a lead producer on Broadway. His major international credits include -- Broadway: The Great Gatsby, Doctor Zhivago, Holler If Ya Hear Me; Korea: Sweeney Todd, Man of La Mancha, Jekyll & Hyde, Dream Girls, Titanic, The Story of My Life, and more; In Development: The Lights in Firenze, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (La Jolla), and more. With his extensive producing experience, Chunsoo Shin is the founder and current Chairman of Korean Association of Musical Producers (KAMP – South Korea’s league of musical producers).
◆ Teresa Eyring
Teresa Eyring (she/her/hers), executive director/CEO, joined TCG in 2007. Teresa Eyring has served as executive director of TCG since 2007. Under her leadership, TCG has invested in building greater equity, diversity, and inclusion in the American theatre field and promotes a vision for “a better world for theatre, and a better world because of theatre.” Prior to joining TCG, Eyring spent more than 20 years as an executive in theatres across the U.S. Prior positions have included: managing director of the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis; managing director of the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia; assistant executive director of the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis; and development director of the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. Eyring holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and an MFA in Theatre Administration from The David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. She is on the boards of the Performing Arts Alliance, and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, and was on the board of the Entertainment Community Fund. She is also an advisory board member of SMU DataArts.
◆ Moderator: Arnie Lee
Arnie Lee is the Managing Partner of ISBC New York and has been actively involved in education and theater for over a decade. Prior to joining ISBC, he served as a program consultant for NYEG, providing drama, acting, photography, and podcast workshops, seminars, and intensive classes in various public and charter schools in NYC such as P.S.180, 345, M.S. 57, BSNB, Atmosphere Academy, NYFACS and more. As a US correspondent for the Korean Theatre Review, he wrote reviews of Broadway and off-Broadway shows for the national magazine and planned and translated for Prof. Miy He Kim to interview artistic/executive directors of almost all of the Tony Award-Winning regional theaters in the US. He served as a translator for the National Theatre of Korea, the UN Command, and the Tongyeong International Music Festival, where he also provided dramaturgical work for the Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Opera ‘Greek’. He earned his MFA in Playwriting at the Actors Studio Drama School and a BA in Psychology at Korea University.
