The Road Taken tells the true story of Sun-myung Kim, a North Korean soldier who was imprisoned for 44 years in South Korea. Mr. Kim was arrested in 1951 on the front lines of the Korean War. Since he refused to denounce his Communist beliefs, he was held until the 1990s, when he was sent back to North Korea under a special pardon. Guest speaker Ms. Hyun-Ock Im will give a brief introduction to the film and lead a discussion afterwards.
