The documentary So~ri covers the re-evaluation and rediscovery of a type of Korean folk music called pungmul. Recombining pungmul with African and Cuban influences, the documentary defines pungmul's spiritual beauty and its harmony with other art forms present in New York City. 
A Q&A session with the film's director, Sung Kwang Kim, and the head of the Nori Pungmul company, Sang Min Yook, will follow the screening.
