November. 24, 2018 ~ March 17, 2019

Museum 2nd fl. Design Exhibition Hall
at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza

“These environments are not only for people who ‘understand’ art. They can be experienced by anybody, anywhere. It is universal and is capable of reaching all levels of life. Art is for everyone.” – quote from Keith Haring published in Keith Haring Journals, December 1978.

Keith Haring, the late world-renowned artist specializing in pop and graffiti art, wanted to communicate with others through art and build connections with symbolic bold lines. Though he tragically died at the young age of 31 in 1990, his artworks still resonate with people today.

This exhibition at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul will feature 177 of Haring’s works including drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, posters and album covers as well as his widely known Icon series. The purpose of the event is to encourage people to discover the message Haring wanted to share with all in the hope of changing the world through art.
