One of the most outstanding vocal artists of Korea, Jang Sa-ik brings his powerful, expressive voice, based in the spirit of Korean traditional music, to New York City. He started his singing career at the age of 47, but now he is one of the most respected singers in Korea and was also awarded as the best artist of Korean Traditional Music in 2006 by the members of the national assembly. A unique combination of Korean traditional sound and jazz, Jang Sa-ik Soripan: Longing... is a very special opportunity to experience the treasures of Korean music.
