Based on the legend of Don Juan, Don Giovanni is “as close as you’re going to get to a perfect opera” (The New York Times). A study in contrasts, Mozart’s sublime score belies the hero’s moral bankruptcy. This “fresh but conventional, comic yet powerful” (New York Post) production by Broadway legend Harold Prince features Bruce Sledge, Julianna Di Giacomo, and the debuts of Mardi Byers as Donna Anna and Aaron St. Clair Nicholson in the title role.
