Korea's most remarkable pop musician of the 20th century, Cho Yong Pil, produced many memorable Korean songs including hits such as Return to Busan Port, Dear Friend, and The Lady Outside the Window. Having published a total of 18 albums, the artist has received numerous awards such as the KBS and MBC Best Artist Award (1980-1986), AMPEX Golden Reel Award (1982) and the CBS-SONY Golden Disc Award (1984). Throughout his music career, Cho had a great influence on Korean pop music. He explored music to the best of his abilities and produced songs in various genres such as rock, trot, ballad, fusion and folk.
