Sejong at the Friends of Chamber Music
As a part of the 55th Friends of Chamber Music concert series, the New York-based Sejong (formerly International Sejong Soloists) performs at the Newman Center in Denver.
Since its inception in 1995, Sejong has established itself as a premier, conductor-less string orchestra performing on major stages throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Envisioned as a "cultural ambassador" by an artistic Director Hyo Kang, this unique ensemble brings together distinguished individual soloists and chamber musicians coming from nine different nations: Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. They are also well recognized for their performances, documentaries, TV broadcasts, youth development activities as well as philanthropic endeavors worldwide.
Program includes the works of Hayden-Piatigorsky, Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Dvorak.
