Angela and Jennifer Chun, Violins at Carnegie Hall

Korean- American violinists Angela and Jennifer Chun will collaborate with Hungarian's rising star folk and gypsy singer Beata Palya by performing Bartok's 44 Violin Duo during Carnegie Hall's Celebrating Hungary Festival.
Since their Carnegie Hall debut in 1988, violinists Angela and Jennifer Chun's musical interpretations have brought them into the international spotlight as a concert duo. Winners of several major competitions, they have introduced their virtuosic artistry through acclaimed concerts in America, Europe and Asia. After graduating from the Juilliard School, they continued studies with Nathan Milstein in Switzerland. The Duo has performed with Zubin Mehta, Gerard Schwarz, Sir Andre Previn, and Ivan Fischer. They have been featured guests alongside the Seattle Symphony, London Bach, Mozarteum Chamber, Salzburg Camarata, Budapest Festival, Seoul Philharmonic and KBS Symphony. Conductor Leonard Slatkin invited them to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington with the National Symphony Orchestra under his baton and also accompanied them on the Harpsichord. Their 2008 CD Fantasy by Harmonia Mundi has been receiving rave reviews on the international music scene. In Autumn 2007 Angela and Jennifer Chun became "String Mentor " teaching at London's Royal Academy of Music. Angela Chun performs on a 1734 Domenico Montagnana and Jennifer Chun on 1662 Nicolo Amati known as " The Goding " violins.
