Korean Traditional Music Festival 2018 in New Jersey is co-presented by the NY Korean Traditional Marching Band, Woorigarak Korean Cultural Art Center, and the Korean Cultural Center New York as part of KCCNY's Open Stage: Samulnori.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of samulnori, the Korean Traditional Music Festival presents a Korean traditional music and dance festival featuring Kim Duk Soo and Samulnori Hanullim, who performed at the Opening Ceremony of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, and other renowned artists including Chunseung Lee (drummer) and Eunjoo Kang (dancer).

Woorigarak Korean Cultural Art Center (WKCAC) was founded by Eunjoo Kang in 1998 as a platform to actively promote the beauty of Korean traditional dance, music, and art. Eunjoo Kang has been performing and choreographing numerous festivals and dance performances in Asia, Europe, and the United States for the past 20 years.

Joining Ms. Kang is the leader and one of the founding members of SamulNori, Kim Duk Soo. At the age of five he was awarded the President's citation for his performance, thus beginning an amazing career that has taken him to virtually every corner of the world. Aside from his talents as a performer, he has managed, directed, and created numerous productions involving not only music, but also dance and theater.

Together, this collaboration will shine light on the artistry of Korean traditional dance and music.
