Black and White Tea Room
is the representative work of the Hooam Theater in Korea, which has received several awards along with rave reviews from the press. The production has been performed in cities all over the world such as Tokyo, Kyoto, London, Istanbul, and they were invited to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for 4 consecutive years.

The play centers on a former police officer who works as a life counselor in an old tea room he took over from his late wife, and an unsettled guest seeking the counselor’s help. Through their session the two characters’ darkly intertwined pasts come to light, their pain, anger and grief are explored, and in the end, no one can predict who, if anyone, will walk away.
