Screened at the Pusan International Film Festival, This Charming Girl relates the story of Jeong-hye, a reserved female post office worker. The film traces her history through flashback as she continues along her mundane daily routine. TV actress Ji-soo Kim won critical acclaim for her performance as Jeong-hye, and was awarded the Best Actress Award at the 18th Singapore International Film Festival. Yoon-ki Lee won the Netpac Award from the 2005 Berlin International Film Festival for This Charming Girl, the Lotus Jury Prize from the Deauville Film Festival, and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize in World Cinema at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
