Recognized as one of the most gifted classical musicians, violinist Sarah Chang is performing Mendelssohn's last largest orchestral work, which is also praised to be one of the most popular violin concerti of all time. Maestro Peter Oundjian returns to Caramoor International Music Festival's podium with lyrics of unparalleled beauty and unsurpassed tragedy. Orchestra of St. Luke's will be performing as orchestra-in-residence.

The highlights of the program are Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64; Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute, K. 620; Mussorgsky's Dawn on the Moscow River from Khovantchina; and Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini, Op. 32.

Caramoor is home to metropolitan New York's largest annual outdoor classical music festivals. The orchestra is also known for its year-round concerts, educational programs and a world-class collection of fine and decorative art.
