Ho Jin Yun, director of the renowned musical the ‘Last Empress,’ which has represented Korea’s original musical for the past 15 years, has gathered up his best, all-star creative staff to fascinate the audience with a brand new musical that brings a story from a century ago to life on stage at Lincoln Center.

The musical ‘Hero’ had its world premiere in Seoul in 2009 commemorating Chunggun An’s centenary for his martyrdom. The musical’s production costs were 4.6 million dollars and took 5 years of preparation! At the time, it received a standing ovation every day and won 12 musical awards in Korea.

Alluring set designs (including the evolutionary stage technology that presents a life-size train on stage) and lightings, along with the simple, but touching lyrics and music of the show led it to become the no.1 musical in Korea. Moreover, 34 musical numbers, including ‘the chase’ on a 7.2m high structure through yamakasi, ‘arirang’ which makes audience burst in laughter, ‘a great man’ that Chunggun An sings right before his death, are all fascinating performances worthy enough to compete in Broadway.

The ticket price rates are between $70 ~ $180 and you can book the tickets by calling 212-721-6500 or visiting http://www.davidhkochtheater.org , http://www.musical-hero.com.
