“Fire Burning Rain,” is a multi-media rock opera created by internationally renowned Korean artist/writer/performer, Jihae in collaboration with two-time Academy Award winning playwright/director John Patrick Shanley.

Inspired by Joan of Arc, it’s a futuristic tale of a heroine’s journey to the underworld to free ‘the light’ and save the perishing earth and humanity. The 70-minute performance includes live music, modern dance with elaborate steam punk costumes and digital integration that transport the audience in a dreamlike world.

Participating artists include: visionary painter, Alex Grey: Tim Ries from the Rolling Stones band, Stacey Shames, the lead harpist with the NY Philharmonic and Leimay dance company.

“What touched me the most was Jihae’s voice live. I fell in love again with music”.
